Monsoon is Shraddha Kapoor’s favourite season. The actress gets nostalgic as she remembers how she splashed around in puddles as a child and listened to peppy rain songs while going on long drives during monsoons in her growing-up years. Shraddha seems to be in the perfect mood to soak in the spirit of the season as she steps out for an exclusive shoot with Bombay Times.

Confessing her love for Mumbai ki baarish, she says, "Monsoon has been my favourite season since childhood. The onset of the monsoon brings about such a positive energy. When it rains, it feels like God is talking to me."

On a nostalgic note, she says, "As a kid, I loved playing in the keechad and then running around the house with dirty chappals, which left my mom exasperated. I was like those kids in those washing powder ads... I had no concept of cleanliness while playing in the rain."

Speaking about her favourite thing to do this season, the Stree actress says, "I enjoy listening to upbeat songs when it rains. What most people listen to during parties is what I like to listen to on long drives in the rain. I like to watch rom-coms or comedies during the monsoon… anything that has a feel-good factor works for me in this season. I feel happy to have my own rain song (Cham Cham from Baaghi) that has become so popular. Some fans actually ask me, ‘Iss saal barish kab hogi?’"

A self-confessed foodie, Shraddha says, "I absolutely love bhajiyas. It would be a sin not to have bhajiyas during monsoon. I enjoy all kinds of bhajiyas. Just fry whatever vegetables you have and serve it to me with chutney and I will devour it! I also love sitting by the window with my cup of chai and gazing outside when it rains. It is such a soothing thing to do."
