OPPENHEIMER did very well in its first as it collected 62 crore nett. Although there was a drop on Monday, the film recovered well over the weekdays and held steady. The film should again do very well this weekend driven by the bigger multiplexes.

The highest Hollywood grosser this year is FAST X till date at around 111 crore nett while MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: DEAD RECKONING - PART ONE is closing in on the 100 crore nett mark. OPPENHEIMER has lower first week collections than these films but may eventually become the highest grossing Hollywood film this year. A lot depends on where the second weekend lands.

BARBIE has done reasonably well in week one with collections of 26 crore nett. The genre has very little potential in India so even getting this much collections becomes an achievement. This film is a huge BLOCKBUSTER in the North America and Europe but the BARBIE brand does not have the same value in India.
