Life has change 360 degrees for Aparshakti Khurana in the last two years after his daughter Arzoie was born. “I have become a little more responsible,” says the doting dad on the occasion of Father’s Day. He further says, “I have started taking up work in a way that I am in Mumbai as much as possible. That is one major change.”

Has his daughter’s birth altered his creative choices too? “Not really, I don’t take up work thinking about what my daughter will think of it when she grows up. Maybe such projects haven’t come my way where I have had to think,” he says.

Aparshakti lost his father, astrologer P Khurana, recently and it has been a difficult time for the family. He says, “It has been tough, no one is prepared for something like this. Only time will heal this; work helps me divert my mind. We shared a regular father-son relationship while growing up, but after a certain age, it evolved, and he became my friend. He lived his life to the fullest, and all we can do is celebrate his life.”

"Arzoie is a daddy's girl because, since the time she learnt the physical touch, she has given me her first hug and first kiss. When she started calling us papa and mumma, it felt very special. I think she is like me in many ways. She is straightforward and knows what she wants"

"My father pushed me to play different sports and I am doing the same with my daughter. The other day, I took her to a football field and I felt immense joy when I watched her play. Papa had the loudest laughter in the family and I am glad I laugh that way too. Now, Arzoie has that laughter. She laughs wholeheartedly"
