Rajinikanth is collaborating with T J Gnanavel, the director of the acclaimed Jai Bhim, for his 170th movie. While the film is in its early stage of preproduction, we hear that Amitabh Bachchan has been approached to play a significant role in the film.

A reliable source close to Rajinikanth confirms that discussions with Amitabh are underway, and an official announcement will follow soon. However, no formal agreement has been signed as of yet. If this collaboration between the two megastars materializes, it will mark the first on-screen reunion of Rajini and Amitabh after 32 years.

Their last film together was the 1991 Hindi film Hum, which also starred Govinda. Insiders reveal that Gnanavel’s film is based on a true incident, and that Rajinikanth will be portraying the character of a police officer.
