ADIPURUSH collected a dull 9 crore nett over its second weekend. Despite these being poor collections, it is actually more than expected as the way it was going down over the weekdays, it looked like in the second week, having double digit collections would be hard.

Generally the circuit numbers are pretty reasonable for the first week as it got the weekend in. In Odisha, it will be among the top ten grossers ever in Hindi but that is because these Telugu actors are stars in the state and from the Hindi circuits it has always done well for the South actors in action films from the days of Rajinikanth.

The film has underperformed in Mumbai and Bihar though the Ramayana factor has helped the film hugely in the North as both performed better compared to Mumbai. The film is not likely to add much from here and maybe another 10 crore nett.

ADIPURUSH has reached 237 crore nett across India and will finish up with a final total of 250 crore nett plus. The collections are going to fall below SAAHO across the board. It has been a downward spiral all over since the first Monday though the second weekend was a little respite for the film as collections did grow.

The worldwide business of the film is 325 crore plus and may just reach the 350 crore mark which is actually reasonable but if you take the first weekend then the 400 crore mark should have been a cakewalk for the film. The film has not performed in Overseas with the Telugu version not doing well in North America which was a must. The Hindi version will do near $2.5 million which is better comparatively as there is no face value for this audience. On top of it, a large chunk of the audience is Muslim who are unlikely to come.

The figures from India are as follows and the collections from the South markets do not count the Hindi version so its a like to like comparison for Hindi films. The Nizam/Andhra figure does not include Hindi and collections from Marathawada.
