The Tamil film PONNIYIN SELVAN - PART 2 made minor gains across India as it collected around 1 crore nett more than it did on the first day. The main gains in percentage terms was the Hindi version which jumped 45% but it is on limited collections.

The main market is Tamil Nadu and the film was pretty much flat here but that is good for a film that opened well. It is not going to go near the business of the first film though it can easily become the biggest film in Tamil Nadu of 2023. The opening of the film was third highest in the state after the two Pongal releases THUNIVU and VARISU.
