TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR had another fair week collecting 5 crore nett apprx. The drop is more than the previous week at 62% when the third week drop was only 47% but that is due to the release of BHOLAA. The total collections of the film are 121 crore nett after three weeks.

The film is a rare average fare as generally its been a story of good and bad post the pandemic with the only two films bucking this trend are JUGJUGG JEEYO and TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR. both films are pretty similar in genre and how the circuit ratios are across the country. In Mumbai, TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR is 32% while in Delhi/UP, it is 25% while JUGJUGG JEEYO was 31% and 27% in the same circuits respectively.

The expectations of the film were high due to the combination of Ranbir Kapoor and director Luv Ranjan who has a good track record and on top the budget of the film. No doubt these expectations would have been met pre pandemic but the demand of stronger content and shift in market dynamics meant a different scenario post pandemic and it could not reach the HIT mark.
