KISI KA BHAI KISI KI JAAN had a good hold on Monday as Eid continued to boost collections. The single screens were excellent and even multiplexes held up very well. There were strong holds even in cinemas of metros like Mumbai and Kolkata.
The drops came in East Punjab and in parts of the NCR area which do not fall into UP. Here, the drops were over 50% but these were anyway likely to be the weakest pockets if everything was equal. The Monday collections of the film are in the 9.50 crore nett range which takes the overall total to 72 crore nett apprx.
The drop from Friday is only 30% which if taken on face value is a very strong hold especially for a mass films like this. However, it is due to Eid and was never about Monday but where the film is towards the end of the week. There will be drops over the next few days as the Eid areas come back down to normal levels. Monday saw good collections in both Mumbai and Delhi/UP circuits.
Maharashtra has done very well over the Eid period which is the need of the day because barring a SOORYAVANSHI or DRISHYAM 2, it has underperformed for every Hindi film.
The collections of KISI KA BHAI KISI KI JAAN over the first four days are as follows
Friday - 13,75,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 24,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 24,50,00,000 apprx
Monday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 71,75,00,000 apprx
