PATHAAN added some good business in its seventh weekend as it picked up around 1.65 crore nett playing on around 700 cinemas. The drop is there from the sixth week but that was expected and with TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR not really dominating the box office in a big way and no major releases in March, it is possible that PATHAAN continues to run through the month.

The film is the biggest plus point for the industry post pandemic by a distant mile but when you do the number crunching, the Maharashtra numbers could have better and given the film an extra 20 crore nett. So if a film like PATHAAN is underperforming here, then what chances do other films have in the circuit. The shift in audience tastes in Maharashtra coupled with Mumbai city not having as much of an audience as before is one of the biggest reason for films underperforming so much.
