The actor opens up about his ‘bedroom’ comment and why paps should respect their privacy

In the wee hours of Friday, actor Saif Ali Khan and his wife, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan, were surrounded by 20 paps, who entered their residential compound to film them coming home from a party. His witty reaction, “Ek kaam kariye, humare bedroom mein aa jaaiye,” went viral.
Addressing this invasion of privacy, Saif tells us, “They barged inside a private property through the gate, past the security guard and completely invaded our space. They put 20 cameras and lights on us as if it’s their right to do that. This is wrong behaviour and everyone needs to be in their limits.”
While many portals reported that the building’s security guard may be sacked following this breach, the Vikram Vedha (2022) actor dispels the rumour. “It is not his fault. And we are not taking legal action against the paps because that is not how we want to do things,” he shares.
Emphasizing on their right to privacy, the 52-year-old adds, “We cooperate with the paps all the time and we understand when it’s outside the house, outside the gate. But, where does one draw the line? That is why I made the bedroom comment as they had already crossed a line.”
