Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, which has released today on Netflix, is an engaging thriller about a robbery gone wrong. The film is just 112 minutes long and director Ajay Singh succeeds in keeping the narrative simple, despite the back-and-forth narrative. There’s no scope for confusion and that’s a big victory. In the middle of the film, there are plenty of twists one after the other and it makes for an exciting watch. It’s also not easy to predict what will happen next, at least during this middle point. However, the developments defy logic. Also, so many surprising things happen in the middle that there’s no surprise left in the last 15 minutes. Speaking of performances, Sunny Kaushal is quite good and improving with each film. Yami Gautam looks great and performance-wise, she’s excellent, thus proving yet again why she’s one of the finest actresses around. Sharad Kelkar sadly gets limited scope. Barun Chanda, Indiraneil Sen Gupta (Flight marshall) and Krunal Pandit (Bhagat) do well. Sunil Palwal looks unrecognizable and is fine in a small role. All in all, Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga is a timepass thriller, worth your time.
