Bollywood couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani got married in a traditional ceremony on Tuesday afternoon at Jaisalmer’s Suryagarh Palace hotel. A baaraat procession was held inside the hotel premises. Prior to that, the haldi ceremony took place on Tuesday morning. The pheras took place late in the afternoon, which was followed by a reception in the evening.

Monday evening witnessed some great moments as family and friends came together to shake a leg for the couple’s sangeet and mehendi cermonies. According to a source, Kiara looked gorgeous in an offwhite lehenga, while Sid sported a traditional outfit in the hues of yellow.

The couple apparently danced together for nearly one hour, enjoying every bit of the celebrations. The musical night saw guests dancing to Rajasthani folk numbers as well as some of Sid-Kiara’s favourite songs.

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani are now Mr and Mrs. Having dated for almost three years, the actors got married on Tuesday in the presence of their families and friends. Their big fat royal wedding at Suryagarh hotel in Jaisalmer had many attractions. Since Malhotra is from Delhi, a Dilli ka band was booked for the baraat. The sangeet was held on Monday, while the haldi ceremony and wedding took place yesterday.

The venue decorations went viral on social media, with the venue lit up in pink. Guests were heard cheering in a video recorded during the sangeet, as they grooved to London Thumakda (Queen; 2014) and Malhari (Bajirao Mastani; 2015). The playlist also included the couple’s favourite songs Raataan Lambiyaan and Ranjha from their 2021 hit film, Shershaah.

While we still don’t know if filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Shahid Kapoor danced to Dola Re Dola (Devdas; 2002), as promised on Johar’s chat show last year, they reportedly performed on Kala Chashma (Baar Baar Dekho; 2022).

The security was amped up at the venue, with a strict no-phone policy in place. A video showing a phone covered went viral too.
