Guests at Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s big, fat royal wedding seem to be having a great time. On Sunday afternoon, a special Rajasthani dance performance was organised to welcome guests in the courtyard of the Suryagarh Palace, Jaisalmer. Guests were served traditional Rajasthani delights, including gatte, ker sangri and various kinds of baati and churma along with a vast variety of dishes from international cuisines.

Celebrities including Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput, Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, Armaan Jain and Anissa Malhotra are part of the elaborate three-day wedding celebrations. Festivities have been planned across the lavish venue and 30 rooms have been booked.

On Monday, the mehendi and sangeet ceremonies were held. The couple will have their haldi ceremony this morning, which will be followed by the pheras later in the day. They will also host a reception in the evening. As per sources, on Thursday, they are scheduled to leave for Delhi for post-wedding rituals at Sidharth’s family home.

Actors Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani will tie the knot today. As the pre-wedding festivities began in Jaisalmer, several celebs, including Advani’s childhood friend, entrepreneur Isha Ambani Piramal, and her family friend, actor Juhi Chawla, reached the venue. Other guests who were spotted were stylist Tanya Ghavri, content producer Aarti Gupta Surendranath, actor Armaan Jain and producer Ashvini Yardi.

The guests got a royal welcome as folk artistes performed outside the Suryagarh Palace, the wedding venue that was reportedly suggested by actor Katrina Kaif. A welcome lunch was also hosted for the guests last noon.

A video of Malhotra’s nani talking to the paps is doing the rounds on social media. She said, “Bahut khushi hai. Bahut bahut badhai. Hum Sidharth ki nani hain aur aashirwad dene pahuche hain.”

Some reports suggest that the sangeet ceremony was held yesterday, which saw the bride-to-be’s brother, musician Mishaal Advani’s special performance. The haldi ceremony, wedding and reception will be held today.

The couple is staying at the Thar Haveli built within the Suryagarh complex. The wedding menu reportedly comprises Rajasthani delicacies, including churma and baati, and Punjab’s winter specials.
