PATHAAN has had an excellent hold on its second Friday as it picks 13 crore nett apprx which is a 13% drop from Thursday though in some of the multiplex dominated centres, the drops were hardly there due to the ticket rates going up. The drops have come in mass pockets like UP, CP, CI and Maharashtra.

This has taken the film to a huge 361 crore nett apprx in ten days and today it will become the highest grossing original Hindi film as it'll beat the numbers of DANGAL (2016). PATHAAN will also cruise past the 400 crore nett before the weekend is out making it first original Hindi film to cross 400 crore nett though the target is 500 crore nett.

The weekend will see huge results for the film as it maintains superb collections all over though there are some under performing pockets but this is more to do with these places not being as high as other places in the initial days. The film had already started setting circuit lifetime records before the end of its first week and it will probably hit more over the weekend.

PATHAAN is going to go easily past KGF - CHAPTER 2 possibly before the second week is out but the more interesting part is how it compare in terms of circuits and with BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION as both those dubbed films had limited business coming from South. In Mumbai, its unlikely to beat KGF - CHAPTER 2 while BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION is at a different level and pretty much unbeatable. But in most other circuits, PATHAAN should be coming out ahead of these dubbed films.

PATHAAN has become the highest grossing original HINDI film worldwide in just ten days as it hits a worldwide total of around 711 crore. The final overseas numbers for the second Friday are awaited but its pretty much certain to be in the $34 million range in ten days with super strong collections on Friday across all of overseas.

The title of highest grossing original HINDI film in India will have to wait for a day. Overseas was done in nine days, worldwide is done in ten days and India will be done in eleven days. The previous record holder was DANGAL which did 702 crore.

Surprisingly this is the first Shah Rukh Khan film to cross 400 crore worldwide but now all sort of benchmarks are being taken out. BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION remains the top HINDI film at over 800 crore but that was dubbed and not original and PATHAAN will also take that film out soon enough.
