PATHAAN (Hindi) held steady collections on the final day of its extended first week as it collected 15 crore nett taking its overall nine day total to a huge 348 crore nett apprx. This is already the fourth highest total ever seen behind BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION, KGF - CHAPTER 2 and DANGAL.

There are no words to describe the way the film collected over the first five days and after that miracle extended weekend, it has also held up very strongly over the weekdays. The numbers on the weekdays remained better than KGF - CHAPTER 2 which is the best comparison as its the biggest film post the pandemic.

The numbers were extraordinary all over with Delhi/UP, West Bengal and South leading the way. The latter could have been even better but the release was less in Tamil Nadu as local distributors retained the Pongal releases VARISU and THUNIVU even though they had fallen badly after Pongal and were not dong well at the time of PATHAAN's release.

Now its about the crucial second Friday and with ticket rates going up, it should mean a huge weekend and they should also cushion any fall that is always likely on the second Friday.

PATHAAN (Hindi) grossed massive 684 crore worldwide over its extended first week of nine days. If we include the regional versions, then the total will be around 700 crore. The business in India is historic and overseas is probably one level above historic if it can be.

The final overseas number will be $32.75 million in just nine days which is like nothing seen before. There will be new benchmarks in all markets with Gulf and United Kingdom going to levels which were unthinkable.

The film will be become the highest grossing original Hindi film worldwide today (second Friday) as it breaches the 700 crore mark.
