The new releases (MAARRICH, SALAAM VENKY, VADH)) fared very poorly as SALAAM VENKY was the best of the lot but its collections still remained short of 1 crore nett for the weekend. The film collected around 85 lakhs nett while the other two releases were well short of 50 lakhs nett.

AN ACTION HERO saw a huge drop in collections in the second weekend as it collected only 1.50 crore nett. This was pretty much expected and the collections would have been even worse if the film had stronger competition in terms of better new releases. The film is still short of 10 crore nett but should get there at the end of its second week.

The collections of AN ACTION HERO till date are as follows.

Friday - 30,00,000

Saturday - 55,00,000

Sunday - 65,00,000

Second Weekend - 1,50,00,000

Bhediya also had a low third weekend of 4 crore nett but because of the huge growth on Saturday the weekend business of this film is the best outside the films which have been successful. It is far better than the likes of Vikram Vedha, Samraat Prithviraj and Laal Singh Chaddha.

The film now stands at 54 crore nett plus and should be 56-57 crore nett by the time Avatar 2 releases on Friday.
