Drishyam 2: Trailer Of Ajay Devgn And Tabu's Film To Release On This Date

DRISHYAM 2 scored an excellent second weekend of 38.50 crore nett which is the highest post pandemic for an outright Hindi film not including THE KASHMIR FILES. The film edged past BRAHMASTRA which was a little over 38 crore nett and was comfortably better than the likes SOORYAVANSHI and BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 which were around the 30 crore nett mark.

Thee total collections of the film are now 141 crore nett and it is heading for a comfortable 200 crore nett plus total. The new release BHEDIYA hardly made a dent into its box office as it maintained strong collections all over. The Friday may been hit but it was compensated on Saturday with some extraordinary growth. There will be no competition like BHEDIYA no for the next two weeks.

The drop in the second weekend is just 38% which is fantastic and if this 40% trend drops continue then it could challenge the numbers of BRAHMASTRA (Hindi). The films was fantastic in Gujarat/Saurashtra again taking in 5.50 crore nett apprx over second weekend showing a 15% ratio on the circuit.

DRISHYAM 2 continued to do well in overseas as it heads for a weekend of around $1.2 million which takes its total to $4.7 million apprx. The drop in overseas is under 50% which is excellent for the overseas market. The film has crossed the business of JUGJUGG JEEYO which was a more overseas friendly film as compared to DRISHYAM 2.

The six million mark is now looking pretty easy for the film though the biggest Ajay Devgn films in overseas are GOLMAAL AGAIN at $7.2 million and TOTAL DHAMAAL at $6.5 million. It looks like the TOTAL DHAMAAL figures is maybe possible to cross if it continues to run for a few weeks more with the GOLMAAL AGAIN number being a much stiffer task.

The film is strong in US/Canada (more so in Canada) and Australia and the worldwide figure of the film has also crossed 200 crore as it stands at 208.50 crore. Here the 300 crore mark also looks a formality for the film.
