DRISHYAM 2 had an extraordinary second Saturday as it collected 14 crore nett which was a huge jump of 85% plus. The jump in mass pockets was more on the second Saturday than the bigger multiplexes which shows the sort of run the film is on now.

There were many centres in CP Berar, CI and Gujarat/Saurashtra which were more than doubling their collections on Saturday compared to Friday and there will be further growth on Sunday. The collections of the film are now almost 125 crore nett and the film is pretty much sure to collect 200 crore nett as now this sort of Saturday jump looks like being the story for a couple of weeks more.

The film should go ahead of the likes of BRAHMASTRA and SOORYAVANSHI in the sense that DRISHYAM 2 maybe collecting more than those of films on the second Saturday. This will be the first time that DRISHYAM 2 will be collecting more than those films but it remains to be seen what the growth is on Sunday and does it actually go ahead of the two which stand at the top of the charts post pandemic for outright Hindi films and an organic box office.
