VIKRAM VEDHA had a fair hold on Monday as collections were down less than 45% but collections remain low. The film needed to be looking at a 30% drop due to the low weekend but still this drop is not that bad and gives it a chance of a run till Diwali.
The collections are boosted by the holiday period in East as the likes of West Bengal and Odisha continue to do well and final collections could be a little higher if these circuits go to the level of Friday. This advantage will stay till Dussehra and on Wednesday it will have a chance to improve collections in core circuits of North, West and Central.
The first week will depend on where the film lands on Wednesday but with 43 crore nett already up on the board it should have a shot at 60 crore nett in the first week or even more if it can really jump on Wednesday. The target now is basically to remain in cinemas and pick up whatever it can and if can really sustain well then there is an outside chance of being an AVERAGE fare.
The collections of VIKRAM VEDHA for the first weekend are as follows
Friday - 10,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 12,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 14,50,00,000 apprx
Monday - 5,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 43,25,00,000 apprx
