Mithun Chakraborty was clicked shooting for his Bengali film Prajapoti in Varanasi. Helmed by director Avijit Sen, the film was shot in various parts of the city. Actor Dev Adhikari was also part of some of the scenes shot there. The actor was seen taking a dip in the river Ganga and later a boat ride during the shoot. 

According to Rati Shankar Tripathi, line producer, “Mithun Chakraborty plays a spiritual person in the film who brings his son, essayed by Dev, to Varanasi.”

The senior actor was clad in a kurta-pyjama for the scenes that he shot at Assi Ghat. During the three-day schedule, the shooting also took place at the famed Banarasi paan shop and lassi shop. A scene featuring Mithun and Dev was also filmed at the Varanasi Railway Station, where the duo was seen riding a rickshaw.
