Bollywood has witnessed a string of star weddings lately, but there are still several eligible men and women in showbiz who fashionably wear their single status on their sleeves. Recently, in a chat with Aditya Roy Kapur, when we asked him about his thoughts on marriage now that his close friend Ranbir took the plunge in April, he said, “I absolutely believe in marriage. If it happens, it happens. It’s not something I am trying to manifest. I take each day as it comes so if marriage has to happen, it will happen. I have no concrete plans as of now and that’s for sure.”
In recent times, rumours surfaced about Aditya dating actress Ananya Panday, however, he hasn’t spoken about it. While he is focused on his career, one has never seen the actor being fiercely competitive. In fact, he’s always maintained that doing things at his own pace and in his own way gives him immense joy.
“Spending time with family, playing my guitar, playing a sport and travelling — these are things that give me peace. These are the things that you can get lost into. Like when you travel, you always come back all refreshed, with a different perspective on life. So that feels immensely peaceful,” says Aditya.
The actor further tells us how he doesn’t fall for the trappings that come with stardom, which include dressing up in a certain way or being seen at the right places. He explains, “It’s not that I am some hardcore introvert or super uncomfortable with being social. I just don’t like the pressure of having to dress up every single time I step out. I like wearing anything and my team often says, ‘Adi, wear shoes’! I don’t want to ‘have to’ wear shoes and a jacket every time I leave my house. I don’t like to take that pressure.”
