EK VILLAIN RETURNS scores a decent first weekend of 22 crore nett with good business on Sunday in many parts of the country. The growth on Sunday was a solid 20% which took the collections on Sunday to over 8 crore nett. 

The film was pretty much flat on Saturday but this is normally the case for films which open better in the likes of UP and Bihar as they drop on the second day but both were strong again on Sunday. The best business has come in UP for the film followed by Gujarat and Bihar. 

The opening day business of the film was good enough to put the industry at ease but for the film itself recorded a decent weekend and now has to maintain decent collections over the weekdays to emerge a success. 

The weekend business of the film has crossed the lifetime of many major releases like RADHE SHYAM, ATTACK, JERSEY and JAYESHBHAI JORDAAR and that pretty much puts the numbers of EK VILLAIN RETURNS into perspective.
