RASHTRA KAVACH OM had a drop on the second day which was always likely with the action genre. Basically the hero has to be able to open in this genre and if not, then the film needs some sort of ensemble cast which gets more eyeballs.

The failure here is a main lead who has little face value and is unable to open. The somewhat better collections coming in mass pockets are due to the genre but for these to be actually good, you need a hero with some sort of following.

ROCKTERY: THE NAMBI EFFECT (Hindi) double up on Saturday from a very low starting point on Friday. The film has caught up RASHTRA KAVACH OM on Saturday and its two day collections are around 2 crore nett. There were two other recent films from the South like VIKRAM: HITLIST and 777 CHARLIE which showed even more growth on Saturday. However, that was from 25 and 15 lakh type numbers respectively and eventually went nowhere.

If this film could show another huge jump on Sunday, then maybe it can emerge as one of the better imports from the South this year outside the big event brand value films.
