RASHTRA KAVACH OM continued to go down at the box office and it has collected around 5.25 crore nett apprx and will end the week  The first week is heading for a 6 crore nett close.

The film will have a week run only as its likely to be replaced by KHUDA HAAFIZ CHAPTER 2 - AGNI PARIKSHA in most single screens.

ROCKTERY: THE NAMBI EFFECT (Hindi) showed a jump on Tuesday which was sort of expected as Mumbai city was hit by heavy rain on Monday which was less of a factor on Tuesday and much of the business of this film is coming from Mumbai city.

The collections of the film are now 5.25 crore nett apprx and should do 6.25-6.50 crore nett over the first week.

RASHTRA KAVACH OM fell badly on Monday as it collected around 60 lakhs which is a 55% fall from day one. The drop was even bigger in the multiplexes. The film has collected 4.75 crore nett so far and may do around 6 crore nett for the first week.

ROCKTERY: THE NAMBI EFFECT (Hindi) collected a low 60 lakhs nett on Monday but collections are pretty much similar to the first day. The film could have had better collections than the first day but Mumbai city had very bad weather with the rains lashing down and bulk of the numbers for this film are from Mumbai city.

The film has grossed around 4.50 crore nett so far and should do around 6.25 crore nett for the first week. Then it could continue to get some numbers in the next few weeks to go towards 10 crore nett which is not much but its reasonable for a limited release film and the way films are collecting today. The bigger failure for the film is the poor performance in Tamil Nadu which is where most of its recovery should have come from but that is even less than the Hindi version.

RASHTRA KAVACH OM collected a very low 4 crore nett plus over the first weekend. The business was better in the single screens of UP and Bihar and these theatres even managed to jump on Sunday. There is not much hope for the film post the weekend as whatever numbers have come they have come due to the action genre and this genre is front loaded.

The collections are bad but when far bigger films with stars are getting weekends of under 15 crore nett, this film getting 4 crore nett is par for the course.

ROCKTERY: THE NAMBI EFFECT (Hindi) also had a very low first weekend of a little under 4 crore nett but it showed a good trend over the weekend with a huge jump on Saturday and a good jump on Sunday. The problem is very low collections. The film may well fare better than most imports from the South in terms of collections outside the blockbusters RRR and KGF - CHAPTER 2 but its a bilingual and not a dubbed film.

The film could not do much in Tamil Nadu even though its a film from that film industry. The collections of the Hindi version will be better as in Tamil Nadu the weekend is likely to be in the 2.50 crore nett range and it will also have a few lakhs coming its Telugu and Malayalam versions.

RASHTRA KAVACH OM had a drop on the second day which was always likely with the action genre. Basically the hero has to be able to open in this genre and if not, then the film needs some sort of ensemble cast which gets more eyeballs.

The failure here is a main lead who has little face value and is unable to open. The somewhat better collections coming in mass pockets are due to the genre but for these to be actually good, you need a hero with some sort of following.

ROCKTERY: THE NAMBI EFFECT (Hindi) double up on Saturday from a very low starting point on Friday. The film has caught up RASHTRA KAVACH OM on Saturday and its two day collections are around 2 crore nett. There were two other recent films from the South like VIKRAM: HITLIST and 777 CHARLIE which showed even more growth on Saturday. However, that was from 25 and 15 lakh type numbers respectively and eventually went nowhere.

If this film could show another huge jump on Sunday, then maybe it can emerge as one of the better imports from the South this year outside the big event brand value films.

RASHTRA KAVACH OM had a low first day collecting around 1.30-1.40 crore nett though mass pockets did fair business in parts. The film needed higher as these films don't tend to show a strong trajectory. So the opening day becomes even more important.

Still the action factor has helped the film in certain pockets like UP and Bihar. The collections in Bihar were around 9 lakhs nett while UP state will have contributed around 20 lakhs plus nett (not including Noida and Ghaziabad) to the Delhi/UP total of around 35 lakhs. The singles in West Bengal and Odisha are also likely to show better collections.

This is all comparative but the film has managed to get some collections at places though the all India figure does not reflect that as its lower priced cinemas where better collections have come. The opening day footfalls could be around 1 lakh which is more than a film like ANEK. The collections are also more than double of DHAAKAD which was a similar film but with a much higher budget. 

ROCKTERY: THE NAMBI EFFECT is a bilingual film made in the Tamil film industry and has collected around 65 lakhs nett on day one. The film is probably more for the Tamil Nadu but the collections coming from Chennai there do not suggest it has done much there also. It could be that the Hindi version has collected more unless it has collected well outside Chennai in Tamil Nadu.

The film has got a better opening than bigger Tamil films like VALIMAI, BEAST and VIKRAM but those were all dubbed and had pretty awful openings and so its not saying much.

On Thursday, some Japanese animation film called JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 took an unbelievably good start as it clocked up around 1.50-1.75 crore nett leaving MINIONS: THE RISE OF GRU trailing by a distance. Although the film fell on Friday its going to put pretty crazy numbers as the fact that it will collect in crores is huge.
