Mona Singh, who was last seen in the fiction show Kavach — Kaali Shaktiyon Se (2016), is all set to join the cast of the show Pushpa Impossible. The actress, who will be seen playing a lawyer, says, “It’s an interesting role and a cameo, so I took it up. Also, the story is progressive and that’s the kind of story I want to be a part of.”

Mona says that she has been away from TV, but would never want to quit the medium. “Television is something that I will never part ways with. I always look for strong and challenging roles on this medium. Lately, TV has not given me that, while OTT and films have, so I am working on those mediums. But when I got the offer for Pushpa Impossible, I took it up,” she says. Television can be time-consuming and that is one of the reasons why she prefers taking up movies or web offers.

Mona tied the knot with producer Shyam Rajagopalan in November 2019 and wants to balance her professional and personal life. She shares, “Fortunately, I have managed to balance work and my personal life beautifully so far, and now that’s possible because I am doing web shows. I work for three months and then I take out time for myself and my family, and then I look at the next script that I could work on. I love this life. As an actor, one gets time to rejuvenate.”

Mona reveals that she hasn’t been able to go on a proper honeymoon yet. She says, “I have been telling my husband for the past two months that we should plan a trip abroad. But we are still trying to lock a date where we get 10-15 days at a stretch. Also, the way things are going in Europe — with flights getting cancelled and the Monkeypox scare — I’m not sure if we should plan a holiday right now. Yes, we still have to plan our honeymoon, which I know sounds funny because it’s been two years since we got married!”

She is glad that the two got to spend a lot of time together during the pandemic. “We couldn’t travel due to the pandemic, but we did spend some quality time together, cooking, watching films and just chilling,” she says.

So, how much has life changed post marriage? “Life does change to a certain extent because one starts living with their partner after leaving their parents' house. But I knew him for six years as a friend before we got married, so it wasn’t such a big difference,” she says, adding, “I am enjoying the small changes that have happened in my life after marriage. Also, I am glad that I stay just five minutes away from my parents’ house and I manage to see them every day.”
