A total of 10 teams, including the Crime Branch and the local police, are involved in the investigation of the case. According to a police source, the letter said, “Salim Khan, Salman Khan. . . bahot jald aapka Mooselwala hoga. (Salim Khan, Salman Khan, very soon you will meet Moosewala’s fate. )”

In a statement given to the Mumbai Police on Tuesday, actor Salman Khan said he had been in no dispute with anyone recently and that he had not personally received threats from any person — following a threat letter addressed to the actor and his father, screenwriter Salim Khan.

According to an India Today source, the Dabangg 3 (2019) actor told the police, “I have not got this letter. My father got this letter while on a morning walk. I have no recent enmity with anyone. I don’t have any solid reasons to doubt anyone.”

The statement came a day after Bandra Police registered a case against an unidentified person for the letter, which was found on Sunday on a bench where Salim sits after his morning walks near his Bandra home.

Police has recorded the statements of the father-son duo and footage from more than 200 CCTVs have been taken for investigation.

Earlier on Tuesday, ANI reported that Delhi Police had questioned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi regarding the threat issued to the Khans. However, he said he had no hand in the matter. Bishnoi is a key suspect in singer Sidhu Moosewala’s murder.
