DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS had a big first weekend with collections around 78 crore nett plus. The trend was not too good as Sunday saw a drop in collections with mass centres failing to go up on Sunday. Hollywood films do not show much growth on Sunday anyway as the big cities slow on Sunday evening and generally Hollywood as a high ratio of business coming from these areas. 

Here with DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS it was the normal slowness on Sunday evening but mass pockets did not push from Saturday and stayed in the similar range as Sunday. Still these places have done very well over the first three days and the film is a HIT irrespective of what happens from here. 

There is going to be drop on Monday but the job is done with such a big weekend already in the bag. The reports of the film were average and that reflected on the Sunday collections of the film. But the plus here is that it got through Saturday as there was a chance of a bigger drop. The early opening of advance may have helped Saturday as there was a higher than normal advance for a Saturday before release. The final Sunday collections will fall in the 24-25 crore nett range
