There has been much drama on the Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali front even before the film went on floors. Now, actor-producer Salman Khan is gearing up to ensure that the drama is restricted to the camera. Tomorrow, the superstar will begin shooting for Farhad Samji’s directorial venture that also stars Pooja Hegde, Aayush Sharma and Zaheer Iqbal. We hear the first pit-stop is the Golden Tobacco factory in Vile Parle.

Over the past two weeks, the production design team has been hard at work, building two sets at the site. A source reveals, “One of the sets is that of a metro station. The first scene will be filmed at this set-up. Shooting at a real metro station was not feasible due to crowd management problems, so the makers chose to erect a huge set instead.”

After wrapping up the 10-day schedule, Khan and the team will move to Mehboob Studio in Bandra for an extensive schedule.

Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is lined up for a December 30 release. While the movie was to be initially produced by Khan’s close friend and collaborator Sajid Nadiadwala, the superstar took over production duties after Nadiadwala reportedly wanted to rework the film’s budget and script.
