THE KASHMIR FILES had another excellent week as it collected around 30 crore nett in week three taking the total of the film to 234 crore nett apprx. The film has seen a 70% plus drop in the third week due to RRR (Hindi) and a general exhaustion of its audience.
The film looked to be going the JAI SANTOSHI MAA (1975) way from day 3 till around day 11 but then the falls started to come. This was probably because it was a controversial film all over the national media and since it remained headline news, the collections were bumper but as the hype started to slow, the collections started to slow as well.
Still the film is going to do business of around 250 crore nett which is out of the world for this film. It holds the record of the highest second Friday of all time at almost 20 crore nett and that time it looked liked many records in week three and four would be on the cards but it was not to be.
The film should reach the 250 crore nett plus mark over the next few weeks and set a target for the rest of the year.
The collections of THE KASHMIR FILES till date are as follows.
First Week - 96,14,00,000
Second Week - 1,07,68,00,000
Third Week - 30,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 2,34,32,00,000 apprx
