Details emerge about Honey Singh’s FIR on being manhandled  at a Delhi club

Popular rapper-composer Yo Yo Honey Singh, 39, has filed an FIR after he was manhandled by a group of men at south Delhi club, Skol, last month. According to the FIR, Singh complained that during his performance at the club, a group of four-five people forcibly climbed onto the stage and started a fight with him and members of his group. One of them was armed. The incident took place late night on March 26.

“The 4-5 unknown men started misbehaving and disrupted the show. They started showing beer at the crowd and pushed the artists on the stage. After that, a person in a check shirt caught my hand and started to pull me to the front. I was trying to avoid it but the person kept on challenging and threatening me. I also observed that he was armed. Another person in a red shirt was making a video and said, ‘Bhaga diya Honey Singh ko’. (sic),” a part of the FIR read.

Singh’s lawyer, Ishaan Mukherjee, had filed a complaint of “nuisance, misbehaviour and threat” on behalf of the singer-rapper on March 28, after which the police registered the FIR. A case has been registered under sections of voluntarily causing hurt, wrongful restraint, criminal intimidation and others.

The management of Skol refused to comment despite attempts. Meanwhile, Singh directed us to his lawyer for further information.
