The Tamil film BEAST took a beating on Monday as it collected around 3 crore nett in Tamil Nadu. The film had started with a 27 crore nett opening day on Wednesday but is now practically down and out. This is not really surprisingly as a similar thing had happened to a similar film VALIMAI two months back.
The six day collections of BEAST in Tamil Nadu are 68 crore nett and the 100 it needs to cover is probably a dream. VALIMAI did a little under 85 crore nett and that is probably going to be the target for this film but BEAST has a higher market value by around 5%.
The Hindi version of the film RAW collected just 10-12 lakhs nett on Monday and will be practically out by the end of the week with final collections to be short of 2.50 crore nett. The all India collections of BEAST will probably be under 4 crore nett on Monday and 96 crore nett in six days.
KGF - CHAPTER 2 held up strongly on Monday as collections look similar to Friday in the 5 crore nett range but this is probably because BEAST was strong competition on Friday and now the tables have changed.
