THE KASHMIR FILES went and scored the biggest day of its run on Wednesday as it crossed the 18 crore nett mark for the first time and took its total to 77.50 crore nett. The trend is phenomenal and never seen before in the multiplex era and soon enough the collections will also be the type that have never seen before.

The film is gaining every day and on Wednesday, there were even gains in mass pockets and these may well continue into Holi. There is one more day left in the first week and that may well be the highest of its run and you cant rule out the film going to 20 crore nett on the last day of the week. It will be a 95-100 crore nett first week depending on where day seven lands.

The fireworks will happen in the second week as the advances are huge across the board and on top you have a holiday weekend. The film is best in Delhi/UP and Holi sees an extended holiday period in UP so this will further boost teh collections of the film.

THE KASHMIR FILES had a phenomenal week of 95.50 crore nett as it ended the week with near record collections of 18 crore nett for a Thursday. The film has done extraordinarily well all over with North India being the standout especially Delhi/UP which is out of this world especially for a smaller film as the circuit normally goes for the grand scale films with big stars.

The way the film has trended, it will be no surprise if the film collects more in the second week than the first week. Its practically certain to do so but you always have to wait for Monday. The second weekend is a given to collect more as last Friday and Saturday were the worst days in its run. All three days this weekend will be the highest three days in its run and all three may well go over 20 crore nett. The Holi factor will push the film.

THE KASHMIR FILES will remain unaffected by the release of a big film like BACHCHHAN PAANDEY as its established and there is a movement to watch the film either for the content while others do for curiosity due to it being in the news with even the PM of the country asking people to watch the film.
