THE KASHMIR FILES went over 20 crore nett for the first time as it collected 24.50 crore nett on its second Saturday and an overall total of 140 crore nett. The film is simply an unstoppable juggernaut at the box office with Sunday being practically full in the advance itself.

The film could face a capacity issue at multiplexes and that is where the bulk of business is coming from. BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION hit 35 crore nett apprx on its second Sunday but this film is unlikely to go there as there is a big release like BACHCHHAN PAANDEY for competition. The plus is that as Sunday is almost full in advance, the spillover is going to Monday which means a super strong Monday for the film as well.

THE KASHMIR FILES is now the top grossing film post the pandemic in East Punjab and Delhi/UP and other circuits are going to follow in time. The only number which is a slight challenge is the SOORYAVANSHI number in Mumbai circuit while in the other circuits, it is sure to show the highest collections post the pandemic.

The second weekend of the film is likely to be the second or third highest of all time. DANGAL has the second best total after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION at 73 crore nett apprx and THE KASHMIR FILES has a shot at that. It has to be noted that both BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and DANGAL had no competition in their respective second weekends while THE KASHMIR FILES has a major release like BACHCHHAN PAANDEY.
