'Had No Inhibitions': Chum Darang On Playing Bhumi Pednekar's Girlfriend In Badhaai Do
Box Office India Trade Network

BADHAAI DO managed to show a good trend over its first weekend as it showed 65% growth on day two and 35% growth on day three. The growth on day three was solid for a film of this genre and the main multiplex chains alone showed 30% plus growth which is very good for a Sunday.

The non multiplex chains showed  more growth but they could have been even better considering it was a Sunday and the gap should have been more between the national and non national chains. These were probably held back due to the theme of the film.

The weekend business of the film is a little over 7.25 crore nett which is not much of a total and is a low weekend number. However, thanks to the trend, the film has a chance of finishing up with a respectable number. A similar but bigger film like CHANDIGARH KARE AASHIQUI finished with 22.50 crore nett. So, if this film can get to around 20 crore nett, it would be a respectable number considering the present situation with night shows which was not there when CHANDIGARH KARE AASHIQUI was released.

BADHAAI DO probably lost around 1-1.25 crore nett due to no night shows in most of the states. The likely best market for the film Delhi NCR was probably worst hit. Mysore turned out the best market as this did have night shows and here the film has done more than CHANDIGARH KARE AASHIQUI over the first weekend.

The weekend business of BADHAAI DO is as follows.
Friday - 1,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 2,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 3,35,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 7,35,00,000 apprx
