Anthologies have turned out to be a goldmine for OTT platforms in India. Netflix was one of the first platforms in India to try its hand at the narrative style with Lust Stories (2018), which was produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies and Ashi Dua. Now, it is heard that the streaming giant is gearing up for a second run of Lust Stories, with the producers working on the project since November.

A source reveals that directors R Balki, Sriram Raghavan and Amit Sharma of Badhaai Ho (2018) fame have been brought on board so far. “The makers are on the lookout for a fourth director. The project will go on floors only by mid-year as the directors are currently zeroing in on the right scripts for their segments. It is also heard that Konkona Sen Sharma will headline one of the shorts. The cast will be locked only after the stories have been finalised.”

The 2018 anthology was helmed by Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee, marking their reunion after Bombay Talkies (2013). The quartet teamed up again in 2020 for Ghost Stories.
