The administration of the booster shot of the Coronavirus vaccine has begun in India for senior citizens and healthcare workers, and actor Boman Irani says that as a senior citizen, he’ll make sure he gets it soon. The actor, who has been shooting continuously, says, “I am a senior citizen. I will be taking the booster shot as soon as possible and I recommend everyone to do so. The very reason why the virus has become weaker is simply because a good number of people have been vaccinated. This is going to be part and parcel of our lives and we have to be careful and live.”

While the 62-year-old worries about the worsening situation currently, he feels there is no need to panic, as we are in a far better place compared to the last two years. “Covid is a dreaded word, but thankfully people are getting well in three-four days now. Most of us have been affected by this, but let’s look at the nicer side. Hopefully, the virus becomes weaker with each outing. We are prepared now,” he tells us.

The theatrical run of his recent film, '83 (2021), had to face the brunt of Covid-19, with cinemas shutting down in most cities across the country. But the actor says he is happy with how his role in the film was received. “Yes, the theatrical run would have been much better, but a film is eventually remembered by not how much it earned. It will be remembered as a landmark film,” he ends.
