SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME scored another big day at the box office as it clocked up collections in the 20 crore nett range taking its two day total to around 52.50 crore nett. The film was always going to drop on day two especially as it a big ratio of business coming from the South and these circuits were going to drop.
On day one, the film set an all time record in Nizam/Andhra for Hollywood beating the numbers of AVENGERS: ENDGAME but that circuit has been hit worst with a huge drop due to the release of local film PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01. The drop in business in Mumbai and Delhi/UP is considering a Thursday release which took a huge opening.
The film will pick up well in the Hindi circuits on Saturday and there may be improvement in South also. Nizam/Andhra should do better as it will get more screenings on day three. The four day weekend has a shot of 100 crore nett. The highest three opening weekend post the pandemic in India is SOORYAVANSHI and SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME will have a chance to beat that though the collections in Hindi circuits will not be at the level of SOORYAVANSHI.
West Bengal and East Punjab are the circuits where it will beat SOORYAVANSHI while the others remain below. Obviously there is a huge difference in South and SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME has crossed SOORYAVANSHI there in just two days.
The two day numbers of SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME are as follows.
Thursday - 32,75,00,000 apprx
Friday - 19,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 52,50,00,000 apprx
