PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) did decent business of around 12 crore nett across India with Maharashtra, Gujarat and Odisha regions showing good collections. Gujarat was very good on Sunday as it went past the 1 crore nett mark. The other areas did not perform too well especially North India. UP had a good jump in some single screens on Sunday but the bigger centres performance like Lucknow, Kanpur and Dehradun were not too good.

The jump on Sunday could have been bigger but the areas that had been scoring from day one did not jump. A lot depends on how the film holds on Monday but it stands a good chance to hold on Monday as the ticket pricing drop factor will not affect much its not doing much business where the ticket prices drop on Monday. Also the way Maharashtra has performed over the three days, it should hold well and so should Gujarat. PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 also collected around 2 crore nett in Telugu in Hindi circuits with 65% of the business coming from Maharashtra and Odisha.

These numbers are all fine with a low risk investment film like PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 but are very depressing numbers for a film like RRR. It is another Telugu dubbed film but with a huge investment risk which is on the lines of a Hindi blockbuster films. There is no business from South India as the original versions of these films play there. So North India becomes a must for a bigger film and that is a huge task as they hardly find an audience there and how far can Maharashtra take you unless you are Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior.

The first weekend collections of PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) are as follows.
Friday - 3,30,00,000
Saturday - 3,75,00,000
Sunday - 5,00,00,000
TOTAL - 12,05,00,000

The Telugu film PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 scored a huge weekend of 107.50 crore nett which is the first 100 crore weekend post the pandemic in India. The film scored big in Nizam/Andhra with a 69 crore nett weekend. The Hindi circuits added 14 crore nett while Karnataka was next best at 12 crore nett. Tamil Nadu was 8 crore nett while Kerala was 4.50 crore nett.

This was the thirteenth 100 crore nett weekend recorded in India and the fourth South Indian film to do so after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION, 2.0 and SAAHO. The Hindi films (all languages) to achieve this feat are DHOOM 3, BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN, SULTAN, DANGAL, TIGER ZINDA HAI, RACE 3, SANJU and THUGS OF HINDOSTAN. Then there is one Hollywood film with AVENGERS: ENDGAME. The business of PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 could have been higher but the Andhra side of Nizam/Andhra circuit had issues with tricket prices which left a lot of areas with less business.

The top five opening weekends post the pandemic are as follows.
1. Pushpa: The Rise - Part 01 - 107.50 crore apprx

3. Sooryavanshi - 76.72 crore
