Actor Saif Ali Khan says the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic has been challenging for actors and others working in the entertainment sector. “Nobody wants to shoot wearing a mask, with 150 people in the room, but you have to,” notes Khan, who has shot for films amid the pandemic, “I shot Bhoot Police, but the makers were kind enough to charter planes for us and flew us to Himachal Pradesh. That was lovely and comfortable. It was nice to get out of the city.”

He adds, “Adipurush (his upcoming film) has started and stopped, and started and stopped with the lockdowns. But somehow, we’ve managed to finish it. It (the situation) is very scary and upsetting (sic).”

Khan says that it is a rather brave feat for everyone who stepped out and shot projects, and continues to do so.

“Entertainers have had a really scary time and we have gone out there and done something, not only for public good, but also for ourselves. But somewhere, we have been right at the edge of danger as well. It has been worrying. I would much rather work with no pandemic,” says the 51-year-old.

Khan wants to count his blessings that he has been in a much better situation than many others, both personally as well as professionally, during the pandemic.

“I can’t complain. I have shot some films and have been with my family. I feel bad talking about it, because I know some people have had a tough time. It would be great if the world can get back on its feet. I don’t know what normalcy is anymore. I have a feeling that some things might change. Until everyone is vaccinated, I don’t think things are going to be normal,” he ends.
