Sidharth Malhotra’s personal life is as interesting for his fans as his professional one. While the success of his last release Shershaah, got the actor a lot of appreciation, his upcoming line-up also has his fans intrigued. And with the buzz around several celebrity wedding rumours, curiosity abounds about his plans for marriage, too.

He laughs when you ask him if it is happening any time soon, “That production has not happened yet. I don’t have the story, script or cast ready for that. As and when it happen, or falls into my lap, I will let everyone know,” quips Malhotra, who is rumored to be dating actor Kiara Advani. He adds, “There are no [marriage] plans as of now. I feel it is something that will take its course.”

Meanwhile, the 36-year-old, who will be seen in Mission Majnu next, can sense a change on the professional front. After Shershaah, he says people have begun taking him more seriously.

“I think what success changes is the sense of you as a performer... The confidence that a film’s team or director would have when I give suggestions, now it would have more weightage,” he says, elaborating, “Maybe three years ago, when I gave the same suggestion with the same amount of understanding, they’d have thought, ‘Karein ki na karein’. But now, they see your instincts have worked with a film which connected with the audience. I look at that as a positive change. That’s what I am concerned with — making a change, adding to it from a sense of passion. I’m not saying I know better or that I want to control it. I’m just saying there is no harm in trying things. We always have the option of retakes.”
