Sooryavanshi Box Office Collection Day 6: Akshay Kumar's Film Is Super 'Strong' At Rs 112 Crore

Box Office India Trade Network

SOORYAVANSHI remained steady on Wednesday as collections came in the 9.50 crore nett range taking the six day total to 112 crore nett. The holiday factor is practically out if the film and fair value is maybe just 5-10% less than its collection on Wednesday.

The film continues its super strong run in Mumbai circuit with collections over the 48 crore nett mark which is a 40% plus contribution for the film. The collections in the North are at far lower levels but they are pretty steady. Delhi city and East Punjab always underperform for Rohit Shetty films but UP could have been better but this area is coming out of the doldrums with SOORYAVANSHI. The collections from the state have been a total disaster since the pandemic.

Another state Bihar coming out of disaster collections in the pandemic is also holding up pretty well. The crucial day will be now be Friday which will give an idea to where this film is going.

The apprx six day collections of SOORYAVANSHI are as follows.
Friday - 26,00,00,000
Saturday - 24,00,00,000
Sunday - 27,00,00,000
Monday - 14,25,00,000
Tuesday - 11,50,00,000
Wednesday - 9,50,00,000
TOTAL - 1,12,25,00,000

SOORYAVANSHI is heading to be the highest Hindi film grosser in Gujarat/Saurashtra outside BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and is already challenging the biggest grossers in the state after just six days. The total after six days stands at around 25.50 crore nett which is extraordinary even allowing that it is Diwali period..

The film has beaten the likes of KABIR SINGH and SIMMBA in six days flat and will take out KICK after seven days. There have been six films to cross the 30 crore nett mark in the state and its pretty sure that SOORYAVANSHI will hit this mark before the end of the second weekend and these numbers are coming post pandemic.

The target for the film will be to top the numbers of GOLMAAL AGAIN and that seems well in sight at the moment but the business in Gujarat will drop off from Monday onward. Gujarat is the third highest collecting state for Hindi films after Maharashtra and UP if we take the cumulative numbers for 2019. It is also a good benchmark for the long run response of a film as films that out perform in Gujarat tend to have a very good response on satellite and continue to be watched for years.

The top Nett Grossers in Gujarat/Saurashtra of all time are as follows.
1. Bahubali 2: The Conclusion - 63.28 crore
2. Golmaal Again - 36.04 crore

4. PK - 33.17 crore
