Late actor Sidharth Shukla, who died on September 2, appears to have wanted to be a rapper. We have learnt that Shukla recorded a rap early this summer. Despite the fact that the number was only recorded as a test, Shukla’s family intends to release the song for his fans on his first birth anniversary, which falls on December 12.

G Skillz, who has composed music for several Punjabi tracks, has given the music for the yet-to-be-titled track. Furthermore, actor Shehnaaz Gill’s brother, Shehbaz Badesha, is rumoured to have penned the lyrics for the track.

“The number is an upbeat one, full of life. It is all about Sidharth’s journey. Shehnaaz has been working closely on the track and ensuring it is a perfect tribute,” shares an insider. “The song will be a solo, featuring Shukla’s voice. The music video will stick to being lyrical and not something extravagant,” adds the insider.

Skillz confirms, “It is a hip-hop rap that bhai (Sidharth) has sung. It was going to be a large-scale, lavish video, but the circumstances are such. We are now contemplating when to release it.”

However, Badesha denies the news and maintains a “no comment” stance. “I only know about my songs,” he concludes.
