Actor Harish Patel is back in the spotlight, courtesy his outing in the Hollywood film, Eternals. But he can never forget how people assumed that he was no more, soon after he moved to the United Kingdom. “Ever since people saw me in the trailer of the film, they started talking about me. But before that, I had heard that people assumed main iss duniya mein nahin raha,” he says.

The 68-year-old actor has explored a lot as an artiste in the UK: “I got a chance to rekindle my first love — theatre. I did a play, Rafta Rafta and many TV shows.”

He is surprised with the attention he’s garnered for his recent Hollywood outing. “Ek dum se 14 saal baad, logon ko mujh par itna pyaar aaya. Many asked me, ‘Sir, aapne pehle kyun nahin bataya?’ I thought why should I tell them?,” says the actor, who’s seen in the film co-starring Angelina Jolie and Kit Harington.

Opening up about working internationally, Patel asserts, “Duniya bahut badi hai, aap kab tak koop manduk baane rahoge? I feel it’s important for people to expand their thoughts.”

The actor had to skip the premiere of Eternals after testing positive for Coronavirus. He says, “I can’t express how disappointed I was about it, but I feel lucky that I got a chance to do the film.”
