SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS could not grow much on Saturday as it collected around 3.50 crore nett. The growth should have been more but its not a huge surprise as 50% of the business is coming from South markets compared to the normal 30% and markets like Nizam/Andhra and Tamil Nadu where it opened best do not grow much.
Yet, the collections in South still remain good while Delhi NCR is also pretty good and showed good growth. Overall the film has done well over the first two days. The core Hindi circuits like Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI and Bihar have limited collections but this is the norm for Hollywood barring some of the event blockbusters. On top of that, these markets are struggling at the moment. The two day numbers are 6.50 crore nett and hopefully it will show better growth on Sunday.
Friday - 3,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 3,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 6,50,00,000 apprx
FAST & FURIOUS 9 is doing decent business despite a pirated copy being readily available. The film showed decent growth to go to 1.75 crore nett plus on Saturday. The film is doing better business than SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS in some circuits like Gujarat, CP, CI, Rajastan and Bihar. But the contributions from these places is minimal so it does not make much difference to overall picture.
The three day numbers of FAST & FURIOUS 9 are as follows.
Thursday - 2,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 1,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 5,25,00,000 apprx
