FAST & FURIOUS 9 had a decent four day weekend of 8 crore nett. The film was let down by business in the bigger cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata and Hyderabad but in many other cities it has managed to do better than SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS especially the B centres. The problem is that piracy has hit the English version while dubbed versions have performed better. 

On Sunday, the film comfortably beat SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS in Gujarat with a 70+ lakh total as against the 50+ lakh of SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS. The film had a bigger Mumbai circuit total than Delhi/UP on Sunday despite Maharashtra not being in play. The film also collected better than SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS in many cities of Punjab on Sunday though the final circuit total may finish a little lower due to the huge gap in Gurgaon.

Basically the film has performed in pockets be it smaller centres in South and pockets of the Hindi belt. The metros have not collected well which is where Hollywood normally scores. Dubbed versions have scored over the English version. If this film released in early August it would have scored a higher weekend than SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS in India.
