Chennai: No one waits to watch an additional scene after a movie’s climax, even if it happens to be a Rajinikanth film. But superstar Rajinikanth tried one last time, convening a meeting of Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM) on Monday, months after saying no to electoral politics. The meeting was ostensibly to check the ground reality for him to test the political waters. At least that’s what it was made out to be in the morning.

After an hour’s interaction with RMM office-bearers at his Raghavendra marriage hall in the city, and the customary waving of hands from the hall’s balcony, Rajinikanth put an end to his political aspirations finally, one last time.

With no possibility of him entering politics in the future too, Rajinikanth announced the dissolving of RMM.
