Sreesanth has returned to competitive cricket after a long hiatus but that doesn’t mean he has sidelined his other interests. The former Indian pacer will be seen starring as the lead in the upcoming Bollywood film Patta, directed by South Indian filmmaker R Radhakrishnan. The movie is said to be a political thriller, with a lot of action and music.
Director Radhakrishnan, who had earlier helmed the Tamil film Kubera Rasi, says, “Patta is an experimental political thriller. The lead, played by Sreesanth, is a CBI officer, whose next move can’t be predicted by his colleagues. He is good-looking and intelligent, and I feel Sreesanth is the right fit to play the role. As soon as I told him the story, he enacted the character for me, and I liked his interpretation of it. I’m sure he can play it well.”
The movie is expected to go on floors soon, once Coronavirus restrictions are lifted.
