Recently, Aparshakti Khurana took to social media to urge his followers to share Covid related requirements with him. Ever since, the actor has been amplifying requests of those affected by the Coronavirus and are in need of medical assistance. Talking about his contribution to the cause, he says, “What we’ve achieved is not merely a product of our talent but also the love of the audience. If they’ve given you so much love, you should, more often than not, give something back to them.”
Khurana confides that he has become increasingly attached to those who have reached out to him for help. He shares, “I want to help people around so that they can at least get what they need. I’m giving myself a daily target. I want to come back home satisfied about doing something. Even if you haven’t met the patient and their families, you feel attached to them in a way. It’s a difficult thing to handle.”
With the vaccination drive beginning in a wider scale from this month, the Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019) actor says that he will be less paranoid about his family contracting the virus. “I’ll be more comfortable and feel slightly safer about my family members stepping out. I had been reading that vaccines are not supposed to cure the disease. They are immunity boosters that will help you fight the virus at home without one having to go to a hospital.”
Extending a helping hand, Khurana recently distributed masks to the paparazzi who are relentlessly working amid the pandemic. “They are the only people right now on field. Their scope of work is such that they cannot work from home. This was a very obvious gesture. I wanted them to be safe on the field,” he concludes.
