While reports have been doing the rounds since January, it has now been confirmed that Dulquer Salmaan will be seen in his third Bollywood movie. This time he is set to work with R Balki, whose earlier films include Cheeni Kum and Paa, among others with Amitabh Bachchan, and Akshay Kumar-starrer Pad Man.

While cinematographer P C Sreeram on social media tweeted the news, Dulquer, too, confirmed the news. “I was hoping to start the shoot right after my Telugu film, but the situation has turned out like this,” said Dulquer, who was shooting in Kashmir in April for Hanu Raghavapudi’s multilingual Tho Rasina Prema Katha. “I will leave it to the makers to say more about the new film, because the title and cast have not been finalised yet,” he added.

P C Sreeram had tweeted on Tuesday night, “My next project with Balki will have Dulquer Salman. It’s a psychological thriller. Eagerly waiting to start work (sic).” He has worked on all of Balki’s earlier films. According to reports, this project will get underway in July and is set against the backdrop of Mumbai’s monsoon.

This will be Dulquer’s third in Bollywood. He was earlier seen in Karwaan, which had him alongside Mithila Palkar and Irrfan, and The Zoya Factor opposite Sonam K Ahuja.
