We all want to know the right way to stay fit and beautiful. But one thing that many won’t tell you is to not exhaust or pressurise yourself into it. Actor Saiee M Manjrekar, however, says that is her fitness mantra.

“I workout five times a week. I start my day with cardio, which means dancing for me. I like light weight training, which usually is how my evening workout looks like,” confesses Saiee, daughter of the veteran actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar.

The Dabangg 3 star doesn’t believe in diets, which she feels are fads. “I skip breakfast. Lunch is home-cooked food like sabzi and jowar roti. In the evening I have chaanch and a fruit. For night I have any source of protein. If I get a certain urge to eat something then I have it right away,” says Saiee. She says rather than feel guilty, one should get up and do any workout. The focus should be on being fit and not thin.

Talking about her beauty regime, she says, “My mother can write a book of kitchen remedies. She’ll make a paste of tomato and oats, when I come home after shooting in the sun, to remove tanning. A scrub of haldi, dahi, honey and sugar, does wonders.” The 22-year-old, also reveals how she picks the most fabulous garments. “I will pick something from my mom’s wardrobe which is 10 years old, or she used to wear in college,” she adds.
